I was hesitant to create a blog for reasons I'm sure most others have at first. There is so much fear in the unknown and that fear has not only hindered my growth but also kept me from pursuing my passions. This past year has shown me more than anything, the power of growth and what it means to be vulnerable. I started designing with the intent to create something beautiful to share and to further nurture my craft. I was inspired by the talented artisans I worked with in Peru and encouraged by friends and family who knew my heart. Sharing something I created and believed in was such a vulnerable experience but with the support of so many, it has lead to a greater appreciation for unique design and perseverance.
My desire for Hera By Day is that it remain transparent and sustainable, while growing into a socially responsible brand. While all of our products are handcrafted in the USA with almost zero wasted fabric, there is still more that HxD can do to give back. Beginning Sept 2014, Hera By Day will be dedicating a few months out of the year to donate 50% of all profits to local charities and volunteer groups while also extending an invitation to join us in local volunteer opportunities. This is such a huge milestone and accomplishment that is all possible because of our loyal customers and followers. To thank you, we are offering 30% off all products this week on our site with coupon code #HBD1YEAR
